Review: Brunch at Angelina’s

I went to Angelina’s for brunch last Sunday and looking back on the pics I wish I was going back today, my mouth is watering!

Angelina’s is located at no.55 Percy Place, Dublin 4 and brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday between 10.30am – 3pm.

Their menu has  just the right amount of sweet & savoury with something  sure to pleasure every palette!

I went with with the Fish Cakes, Grapefruit, Avocado & Chilli Kale served with Poached Eggs & Hollandaise and it was one of the nicest combination of Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had!

I equally like sweet and savoury food so when I’m faced with the decision of eggs over pancakes, I find it REALLY tough! I went to Angelinas’s with 4 of my friends so to compromise, we ordered French Toast to share so we could each have a little nibble!

Isn’t that THE most divine thing you’ve ever seen?

The French Toast is served with Caramelised Bananas, Winter Berries & Nutella and yes it did taste as good as it looks!

My friend Sinead ordered the Vanilla Buttermilk Pancakes and I just had to take a picture! (and a bite…)

They were served with Salted Maple Caramel, Roasted Pecans and Mascarpone and honestly were one of the nicest pancakes I’ve ever tasted. Up there with pancakes in america without doubt!

Angelina’s also have a great cocktail menu and for those of you who are avid followers you will know that whiskey is one of my favourite drinks, more specifically Whiskey Sour.

I had 2 of the ‘Grand Canal Sours’ while I was brunching, Angelina’s take on the Whiskey Sour. It’s made with Jameson Black Barrel Whiskey and served with Grapefruit Bitters, Fresh Lemon and Spiced IPA Syrup – it was delicious!

I was in a group of 5 and for 6 mains (1 main each + the French Toast to share) 2 cocktails each (that’s 10 cocktails) and 1 coffee it came to just over €200 which is extremely reasonable but more importantly, worth every single penny given how delicious and satisfying everything was!

I’d highly recommend a visit if like me you love to brunch in Dublin!
