I bought this beautiful Sterling Silver Hand of Fatima necklace while I was holidaying in Puerto Banus.
The ‘Hamsa Hand’ as it’s alternatively known, is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet symbolising the Hand of God. In all faiths, it is a protective sign that brings its owner happiness, luck, health, and good fortune.
Not all styles of hamsa necklaces include the eye symbol but it is believed to give the owner protection from the “Ayin Ha’ra,†also known as the evil eye.
Ciara found some really nice alternatives from some of your favourite high street stores!
This beautiful necklace with a hamsa hand amulet was exclusively designed by Zara Simon as part of the Z for Accessorize range. It has a gold-plated chain and the hamsa hand is embellished with cubic zirconia stones with a single red accent in the eye. You can purchase yours here:Â http://bit.ly/1BRnicd
I think this one from Boohoo.com is really cute too! It’s only €8 and it comes in silver as an alternative! I also love the way the positioning of the hand is different to traditional styles and I like that it can be worn as a choker stacked with other pieces! Get yours here: http://bit.ly/1Gr9so6
This pretty little crystal encrusted, gold-plated hamsa hand necklace can be found at Debenhams as part of the Mood by Jon Richard Collection and it’s on sale for just €10.50! Get yours here: http://bit.ly/1GfPN8K
Topshop too have opted for a nice pop of colour in their interpretation of the hamsa hand. They have incorporated a red stone in the centre of the hand to depict the eye presumably and little green stones adorning the chain. This one on sale for £5.50 online and you can view it here: http://bit.ly/1Gr50FX
Zara Taylor also have a great selection of hamsa hand jewellery on their website but this is one of my personal favourites! It’s €25.10, comes in gold too but I love the mix of silver and turquoise stones together! You can view it here: http://bit.ly/1G55Y52
