How To Make Your Bedroom More Space Efficient Pt. 1

Most of you know I’ve been on a mission to make my room more space efficient. I have no desk to write at or set area to shoot videos from so something need to give.

I invested in an amazing bed from DFS which eliminated my need for a chest of drawers due to its underneath storage. Because I eliminated the chest of drawers I now have a potential area perfect for setting up my desk space!

Check out the video I made here:

If you’re interested in investing in the Hamley bed too, check it out on the DFS website here:

Alternatively, if you’re Dublin based you can visit their store at Blanchardstown Retail Park or phone them on +3531 640 4232!

Stay tuned for Pt. 2 of How To Make Your Bedroom More Space Efficient which will be filmed, edited & uploaded as soon as I set up my little creative area! Pt.1 was all about making space whereas Pt.2 is all about utilising the space once you’ve made it!

For any up and coming vloggers (bloggers who solely want to use video as their medium) having a professional camera is an absolute must.

Filming videos on your smartphone (unless you have the latest technology like the iPhone 6s) will not be of sufficient quality for a medium like youtube. I can’t speak on behalf of other smartphones but up until I invested in my iPhone 6s and had the ability to shoot video in 4k (a resolution 4 times higher than HD), I spent almost two years without the ability to record video.

The Fujifilm X-A2 is a relatively new addition to my collection of blogging equipment. It took me almost two years to decide which professional camera to invest in because there are so many options available making it hard to know which one will suit your specific needs. After careful consideration I chose to go with the Fujifilm X-A2 and I’ll explain to you some of the deciding factors.

The large 16.3 megapixel APS-C sensor and the EXR Processor II image processing engine produce premium image quality despite the X-A2’s compact size.

Rotating the LCD monitor by 175° activates the eye detection auto-focus mode which captures high-quality selfies sharply focusing on the eyes, coupled with an emphasis on reproducing even and smooth skin tones.

The built-in super intelligent flash accurately controls light output according to individual scenes. When shooting indoor portraits in low-light, small items or food, the flash system reduces highlight clipping to produce images exactly as your eyes see them. Natural colours and brightness are also achieved when shooting backlit scenes or photographing a person under intense sunlight that casts strong shadows on the face.

The X-A2 features six unique Film Simulation modes, which have been created by Fujifilm using the knowledge amassed from over 80 years of film development.

The Advanced Filters function allows you to add creative effects in-camera and there are 8 options to choose from.

There is a shutter time lag of 0.05 seconds, a shooting interval of 0.4 seconds (when the Live View is turned off), and a start-up time of 0.5 seconds (when the Quick Start mode is turned on) so you never miss a shot.

The camera is also capable of shooting full HD video (30 frames per second), incorporating the colour effects of Film Simulations and beautiful bokeh* achieved with the combination of the large sensor and a wide aperture setting. *bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens.

If you download the free Fujifilm Camera Application app to your smartphone or tablet you can transfer photos and videos to your device with a simple one-touch operation – no ID or password necessary. It’s also possible to view and select photos and videos in your camera and import them to your smart device.

The camera is also Wi-Fi enabled to easily back up in-camera data to your computer. (The free FUJIFILM PC AutoSave software must be installed on your computer in advance)

It is also possible to geotag each image with location information, acquired through your smartphone or mobile device.
