Monday Night Makeup

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and settled into the new week ok!

I painted my face yesterday and used some products that I wanted to talk about in this weeks Monday Night Makeup.

I used the Kylie Cosmetics Summer Palette for the first time and it’s unreal! I thought it was fitting considering I’m currently giving one away and the winner will be chosen over the coming days. If you haven’t entered yet, this is your last chance! Just follow the instructions on my Instagram post:

The Kylie Cosmetics Limited Edition Summer Palette contains 14 pressed powder eye shadows in a mixture of matte and shimmer finishes. They have medium buildable coverage, a velvety smooth texture and are super blendable.

The shades names are as follows:

  • Beach Babe (metallic icy topper with gold flecks)
  • Pool Day (matte light apricot)
  • Melon (matte bright papaya)
  • Aquaholic (matte light brown)
  • Hottie (matte light orange)
  • Blazing (matte dirty brown)
  • Sun Kiss (metallic copper with a maroon tint)
  • Heat Wave (metallic orange copper)
  • Summer (metallic yellow gold)
  • Need a Tan (matte burnt orange)
  • Juicy (metallic bright orange)
  • Suns Out Buns Out (matte deep plum)
  • Bikini Mama (metallic shimmery brown)
  • Always in! (matte black)

The palette is priced at $44 and is available for a limited time on

Before I applied the Kyshadow I used the NARS Cosmetics Soft Matte Complete Concealer as a base.

Soft Matte Complete Concealer instantly conceals dark circles, redness, discolouration, hyperpigmentation, blemishes and acne with a light-diffusing effect that blurs and smooths.

Overtime, skin becomes softer and smoother from collagen-boosting peptides, hyaluronic acid and a protective cocktail of Vitamins A, C, and E. Complete comfort. It also provides completely natural-looking coverage and doesn’t sink into lines around the eyes.

It’s priced at €30 and you can purchase it on the Brown Thomas website or in store.

Before I moved on to the base I used the NARS Cosmetics Brow Perfector in shade Kalamata through the brows.

This velvety pencil has a unique oval tip that allows for precise application for varying brow widths, creating long-lasting and natural-looking definition.

Gliding on effortlessly, the adjustable pencil advances and retracts to give you the desired length, without the need for sharpening. Wonderfully versatile, the pencil will help you to achieve a variety of looks from natural and texturised to full-on-fierce.

It’s priced at £18.50 and can be purchased on the ASOS website here.

I prepped my skin with one of my favourite primers, the Huda Beauty Complexion Perfection Pre-Makeup Base.

Complexion Perfection Pre-Makeup Base visibly blurs the appearance of pores and fine lines, smoothing the skin for a fresher, longer-lasting, flawless makeup look.

Harnessing the protecting and moisturising properties of dimethicone along with the highly-nourishing, anti-oxidant rich benefits of Rosehip Oil , the pre-makeup base hydrates the skin for an all-day glow. The creamy, penetrating formula can also be used as a lightweight moisturiser to leave skin soft and nourished without feeling oily.

Priced at €30 you’ll be able to get it on the Brown Thomas website or in store.

The foundation I used is the brand new NARS Cosmetics Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation.

This is NARS’ first 16-hour foundation and it’s unlike anything else!

Its breathable, fade-resistant formula is infused with Raspberry, Apple, and Watermelon extracts to help smooth and improve the look of your skin instantly, and over time for full-powered radiance.

It wears longer, stays stronger, and looks better with each hour. It also has specialised skin-matching technology and provides a transfer-proof, sweat-proof natural radiant finish that won’t fade or dry out your skin.

It’s priced at €45 and you’ll also be able to get it on the Brown Thomas website or in store.

I set the base with the brand new Easy Bake Loose Powder from Huda Beauty.

The Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powders are inspired by Huda’s strong belief that baking is a key step to a flawless finish while ensuring long-lasting, meltproof makeup.

Easy Bake is easy to use due to its unique powder net which disperses a controlled amount of powder and within a few minutes brightens and revitalises under the eye while enhancing the contours of the face.

The extremely light and silky texture blends seamlessly into the skin leaving it matte with a hint of sheen, for a luminous finish that controls shine throughout the day.

The powders work to subtly color correct and highlight different contours of the face, leaving a translucent veil of colour on your skin – so you can bake, without the cake!

Available in eight shades, Easy Bake Loose Powders are packed with ultra-refined pigments to ensure the right fit for all skintones.

Priced at €32 you can purchase them on the Brown Thomas website or in store.

Last but not least I used one of my all-time favourite mascaras, Dior Diorshow Black Out.

Like kohl for lashes, Diorshow Black Out recreates the effect of kohl in a mascara for extreme volume with a charcoal-like finish.

Courtesy of black fix complex (a unique blend of deeply saturated pigments) this creamy formula is the first of its kind to reproduce the intensity of kohl. Thickening powder adds staying power while an Arabic gum extract provides a perfect charcoal-like finish and adds to its incredible resistance.

Priced at €35 you can purchase it on the Brown Thomas website or in store.

Other products I used but did not feature are:

  • Mac Cosmetics Eye Kohl in shade Smoulder on the waterline.
  • Huda Beauty Lashes in style Bridget
  • Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in shade Wifey
  • Huda Beauty Lip Strobe in shade Angelic
  • Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in shade Lightning Dust/ Fire Crystal
  • Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette (contour)

I hope you enjoyed this weeks edition of Monday Night Makeup! x
