I’m just back from a relaxing break in Puerto Banus, Marbella and wanted to share with you guys some holiday essentials articles paying particular emphasis on skincare and makeup and shoes, accessories and swimwear!
I always find it great when people give you tips for going away or point you in the direction of a holiday bargain because let’s face it, going away for one week never mind two is a difficult task for most girls in terms of every little thing you need to think about when it comes to packing the suitcase.
I thought I’d let you in on all the little things that I picked up that came in extremely handy for me on holidays!
First, I’ll start with my footwear. I have to be honest, it was such a relaxing holiday I didn’t put on one pair of heels! I lived in my Adidas Superstars and 3 pairs of sandals that I bought in Penneys.
These sliders were only €8 and I picked them up in a bronze colour too which match everything!
I also bought these strappy platform sandals from Penneys and like the sliders, they are so comfortable, easy to wear and they match almost everything!
Penneys have absolutely amazing fashion at the moment and most of my swimwear is from there too! I don’t just love the fact that their bikinis are a fraction of the price of the high street stores but I genuinely love the fit, material and their durability on holidays especially in and out of a chlorine filled pool.
This little tropical one was my favourite this year due to the little rope detailing on the side of the brief and the detailing and positioning of the stings on the back which is really flattering! I also love bikinis like this that have super stretch in them as oppose to the ones that are extra tight like bra straps that give you back rolls!
These two greenies were picked up in Penneys last season but it just goes to show that even after a couple of wears last year, they still look as good as new. I’m all for buying brand new bikinis every year but sometimes you just get so attached to the fit and comfiness of some that you already own.
These two are new editions and I picked these up from one of my favourite websites, Glitz n Pieces. This blue bow bikini is currently on sale for €24.50 and you can pick yours up by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1JAfmlO
This little pink and white jewelled bikini is currently sold out on the website but they have a similar jewelled one here for €24: http://bit.ly/1HRbTiO
Statement necklaces were a big thing for me this summer too! I got three new ones from Glitz N Pieces after searching far and wide and they are the nicest EVER!
This boho necklaces is one of my favourites and is the first piece I bought from Glitz n Pieces! It’s €27 and you can pick one up here: http://bit.ly/1Oy0sPg
I added this one to my collection next which is just an exaggerated version of the first one. This is the Moroccan Necklace and it costs €28 which you can buy here: http://bit.ly/1JWOCMK
Not only are they great to wear alone but I have also become fond of stacking them together too which creates an even more dramatic statement!
This is also another of the amazing statement necklaces I picked up for my holidays!
I don’t even think the picture does it any justice as it’s way more sparkly in person! This one is €30.50 and can be bought here: http://bit.ly/1SmlQrG
I’m a sunglasses freak and I always buy a new pair every year! This year I bought new Ray Bans and went for the blue mirrored lens. I also bought these pink mirrored lens from Warehouse a couple of weeks ago and I love them too!
The only bit of advice I would give when buying sunglasses from the high street stores is to make sure they have UVA/UVB protection in them. They may look nice, but nothing is worth damaging the retina in your eye.
Lastly, some little belt inspiration for all your little dresses, skirts and shorts.
So there you have it, my full holiday shoes, accessories and swimwear edit! I hope you enjoyed and I hope it provided at least a little summer shopping inspo for some of you! x
