A few weeks ago I started using 24K Gold Eye Masks and told you all about it over on Instagram and Facebook. I bought a box of 5 and I’ve used 1 set of under-eye masks once weekly over a course of 5 weeks. A box of 5 on the Skin Logic website costs €17.50, which works out at just €3.50 per set.
The skin around the eyes is up to 10 times thinner than the skin on the face and has considerably less oil glands which means this is the first area of the face to become dehydrated.
Gold facial treatments contain mineral gold which tightens the skin and facilitates the removal of toxins. The combination of active gold and plant collagen (rose water and rose oil extracts) have repairing properties that help to reduce the appearance of eye wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles under the eyes.
To use, cleanse the skin with warm water and apply the masks underneath the eye. Leave the masks on for a minimum of 30 minutes, but where possible, leave on overnight.
There isn’t much stickiness to the patches and in fact, they’re quite slippery when you remove them from their trays so you really need to be relaxing while using them!
I personally wouldn’t be able to wear them overnight because I move around a lot while I’m sleeping but, if you are a still sleeper I would recommend it because it would be fantastic to let all that collagen seep into your skin overnight.
I’ve been using the under eye masks once a week but the recommendation on the box is that for maximum results, use twice to three times weekly.
The skin around my eye area definitely feels plumper and it’s really soft and hydrated. I have extremely sensitive skin and, especially when there’s a change in weather, I can experience all sorts of side effects like breakouts, dryness and redness.
These under-eye masks aren’t irritating at all and are really soothing and refreshing to wear. I’ve only ever wore the under-eye masks for a maximum of 1 hour, but as I said, I would like to be able to wear them overnight.
I liked the results from the eye masks so much, I thought I’d purchase a 24K Gold Collagen Face Mask because I was interested to see the results of an all-over boost of collagen and this set me back €12.
Similarly to the 24K Gold Eye Masks, the combination of active gold and plant collagen have repairing properties that help combat dryness, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and, they also help to prevent the signs of ageing.
I left the face mask on for around 2 hours while I was chilling out before I had my bath, but it is recommended that the face mask is left on overnight where possible.
These masks have been proven to increase the skin’s moisture saturation level by up to 92%. The 100% natural ingredients of mineral gold, plant collagen, hyaluronic acid and rose essence, assist in stimulating collagen production and improve elastin, while moisturising, hydrating and nourishing the skin.
My skin felt really plump and rehydrated when I removed it and it’s now extremely soft and supple. I wanted to review them right before Christmas because I think they’re great little stocking filler idea for your mom or aunty, or even for you if you fancy treating yourself.

I have a really cool top tip for using them as well! If you wear the masks overnight you probably wouldn’t have time for this in the morning, but if like me you’re just using them for a couple of hours while you’re relaxing, you can melt the remainder of your mask in the bath to achieve the benefits of the ingredients all over your entire body!
The masks fully dissolve when placed in water above 70 degrees and as you can see it turns into liquid gold in the water!
My whole body feels amazing from my head to my toes after using these 24K Gold Collagen Masks and I think they are great gift inspiration that won’t break the bank.
