Review: Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel

I had the pleasure of staying at the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel in Stillorgan over the weekend! Despite it being my first time to stay overnight, I’m no stranger to the hotel as I regularly use the location when I’m filming for Xposé as it’s so plush and luxurious!

An Irish National Monument, the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel resides on a historic estate built in 1750. It combines elegant décor and preserved architecture with an ideal location near the city centre.

All 151 guest rooms and suites boast premium bedding with Egyptian cotton sheets, oversize pillows and duck down duvets, and select suites overlook the hotel gardens or Dublin Bay.

I stayed in one of their Business Class Suites while I was there, additional space and extra perks such as a Nepresso coffee machine make these suites ideal for business guests and those on an extended stay.

You can also take advantage of a variety of services including complimentary parking and free high-speed wireless Internet.

I was welcomed with a personalised tray of treats on arrival and had a balcony that boasted AH-MAZING views of the gardens which you’ll get to witness in my video below!

In the morning, a daily newspaper is delivered to your doorstep and complimentary breakfast at the Super Breakfast Buffet is also included!

The Orangerie Bar boasts an iconic conservatory that overlooks the manicured hotel gardens and makes an ideal setting for afternoon tea, coffee or cocktails.

The Ballroom Lounge, which serves as the hotel’s centrepiece, features beautiful historic preservations: a fireplace of Italian marble, glass chandelier and minstrel’s gallery.

The gardens are directly accessible through the beautiful bay windows, allowing guests to enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace.

The Orangerie Bar & Ballroom Lounge offers a traditional afternoon tea, elevated by their range of teas from Ronnefeldt, masters of tea excellence since 1823. Afternoon tea is served daily from 2pm – 6pm and on Sundays, guests get to enjoy music from the resident pianist.

The hotel also features a fitness suite (that I didn’t get to use) which is open 24 hours and features modern cardiovascular and resistance-training equipment!

I’d highly recommend a visit to the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel whether it’s for an overnight stay, afternoon tea, dinner or cocktails with the girls! It’s an exceptionally spectacular hotel and everyone needs to go at least once in their lifetime!

If you’re at a loss as to what to get a loved one for Christmas I would even suggest getting them a gift card to use at the hotel!

There’s a couple of different packages you can opt for:

  • Afternoon Tea for two in the Ballroom Lounge €57.90
  • Champagne Afternoon Tea for two in the Ballroom Lounge €79.90
  • Table d’Hôte Dinner for two in Talavera and a bottle of  House Wine €110
  • Deluxe Overnight Accommodation & Dinner for two (prices vary depending on what type of room you choose to stay in)

Here you will find a selection of all rooms available: https://www.radissonblu.com/en/sthelenshotel-dublin/rooms

Unfortunately I didn’t get to experience dinner at Talavera ( their on-site restaurant specialising in fine Italian cuisine prepared with fresh, local ingredients) or Afternoon Tea, but eating at the hotel is top of my agenda when I return and you can be sure that I’ll review it in full for you so keep your eyes peeled!
