As some of you may know, I had my very own beauty advent calendar this year and I thought it would be a good idea to open it up day by day with all my followers, and that’s exactly what I did on my Instagram and Facebook.
But now that it’s all over, I wanted to compile an entire listing of everything that came in the advent calendar so it’s easy to navigate around, in the hope that it can provide inspiration for next years beauty advent calendar buys, because you have to get in there really early if it’s something on your wish list!
Day 1 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar brought me Frosted Cranberry Shimmer Lotion! This lightweight moisturiser gives you a touch of sparkle and freshly scented skin that feels silky-soft. It contains cranberry extract from North America and Community Fair Trade shea butter.
Day 2 brought me some Vitamin E Moisture Cream 😍 It’s really light, easily absorbed and especially hydrating! Vitamin E Moisture Cream is suitable for all skin types, particularly dry skin meaning it’s the perfect winter beauty essential!!
Day 3 brought me some Shea Body Butter 😍 It contains Community Fair Trade shea butter and has a delicious nutty scent. It provides 24-hour hydration meaning it’s great for very dry skin!
Day 4 contained an Eye Definer in Black 😍 An essential for every makeup bag, this pencil is highly pigmented, really soft textured and completely smudge proof!
Day 5 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar brought me Fugi Green Tea Bodywash! It has a soap-free, lather rich formula that cleanses and purifies skin with revitalising green tea from Japan!
Day 6 brought me a new Bath Lily 🛀 I know it seems silly posting about a Bath Lily but WE ALL use them & The Body Shop ones just happen to be the best ones around, they never go to bits like the cheap ones do!
Day 7 contained Vitamin E Hydrating Toner 💧It’s a hydrating toner that removes all traces of cleanser, dirt and make-up without drying out the skin, leaving it soft, supple and refreshed.
Day 8 brought me an eyelash curler 😍 Not an essential for every single person, but definitely a must have in every MUA kit!
Day 9 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar had an Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel 💧It’s an instant uplift for eyes that soothes and refreshes the delicate skin around the eye area! Top👁 Tip: store in the fridge for extra coolness!
Day 10 contained a Strawberry Heart Shaped Soap 😍🍓❤️ It’s very rare that most people would use a bar of soap but I always use one in the bath with a scrubbing brush so I feel like they’re always handy to have around! These ones smell edible and are suitable for sensitive skin types too!!
Day 11 brought me some Shea Shower Cream 🌰 It’s a soap-free, rich shower cream that moisturises and leaves skin feeling silky smooth. Community Trade Shea Butter has antioxidant vitamins A and E to help protect and nourish skin while Community Trade Organic Sesame Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil soften and moisturise. It’s a good’un if you’ve extra-dry skin!
Day 12 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar contained one of my favourites! Almond Hand & Nail Cream is moisturising, conditions nails and smells like sweet almonds 😍 It has ingredients like Community Fair Trade Brazil Nut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and something called Panthenol. It’s an alcohol that is processed by the body, this creates Pantothenic Acid more commonly known as Vitamin B5. This acid is readily absorbed by the skin and penetrates deep down into the lower layers of the epidermis. Clinical research has shown that not only is this acid extremely moisturising but when regularly used over a period of four weeks or more, it acts as an anti-inflammatory, relieving systemic itching whilst also helping to soothe dry or irritated skin. It also keeps skin hydrated by infusing water in the cells retaining moisture deep within the skins tissues!
Day 13 brought me some Strawberry Lip Butter 🍓👄 It contains sweet strawberry seed oil, provides instant hydration, has a buttery texture and leaves lips feeling soft & smooth!
Day 14 contained another Heart Soap for the bath, this time a Shea Butter one!
Day 15 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar brought me the Frosted Plum Shimmer Lotion! This lightweight skin lotion leaves a touch of sparkle with a festive fruity floral scent. It contains plum extract from Turkey and Community Fair Trade shea butter and leaves skin feeling super soft!
Day 16 brought me some Vitamin E Night Cream 🌛🛌 This rich cream replenishes moisture levels while you sleep by working on the skin when it’s at its most receptive! Intensively hydrating, it leaves skin baby soft! Such a good night cream if anyone is on the hunt for a new one!
Day 17 contained Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel 😍🍯 It’s a soap-free, lather-rich cleansing shower gel enriched with Community Fair Trade Wild Argan Oil from Morocco!
Day 18 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar was one of their makeup tools, an eyeshadow brush! 😍 Would you believe I’ve had one of their Foundation & Powder Brushes for YEARS and they’re still in great knick! Such a little hidden gem is the collection of The Body Shop Makeup Brushes!
Day 19 contained a Fugi Green Tea Body Lotion. It provides lightweight hydration with revitalising green tea from Japan 🎎 It has a really refreshing scent too!
Day 20 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar had a Honey Lip Balm 👄🍯😍It contains Community Fair Trade Honey made from the nectar of wildflowers and has a sweet, floral scent!
Day 21 was a Frosted Plum Heart Soap.
Day 22 brought me some Strawberry Hand Cream 🍓☺️ It has a non-greasy formula, a weightless gel like consistency and because it absorbs almost instantly, it’s ideal for on-the-go hydration!
Day 23 contained a portable nail file!
Day 24 of The Body Shop Advent Calendar contained Italian Summer Fig Eau De Toilette! It’s made with Community Fair Trade organic alcohol and the figs are picked from the Puglian coast at the height of summer when their aroma is the richest.
Inside Day 24 of the Advent Calendar was a surprise box for Day 25 🎄❤️ A Christmas Colour Crush!
So there you have it! The Body Shop Advent Calendar in its entirety! This one was priced at €99 but there was also a more deluxe one which was priced at €130!
If you’re interested in picking one of these up next year, as I mentioned, you’ll need to get in there early and beginning of November would be a good time to start thinking about it!
It’s an expensive present to buy someone prior to Christmas, but they’re sooooo worth it, especially if you know someone with a birthday either at the end of November or beginning of December!
